A wonderful trio, I adore this movement! It seems at times that in the flute and clarinet parts one can hear words, so rich in elements of vocal music the melody is. And probably they are just there! The simple and transparent, at first sight, texture creates an illusion of the simplicity of its performance. But as soon as you start playing you realize that the composition calls for a lot of performance skills which are essential to convey in full the freedom and ease and at the same time the profoundness. Every so often one has an impression that the prevailing cheerfulness is a guise for anguish and sorrow, that it is, probably, just two halves of a soul or maybe two personalities…but it’s just a figment of my imaginationJ. Try to get inspired with the author’s message and send it to others. We’ve already been working on it. Good luck!
